INGLOT EYESHADOW PALETTE

Hello!!

Well I also learned about INGLOT Cosmetics

by browsing thru You Tube MU  Vids and was VEERY tempted...

So I decided to buy a 5 shadow palette to try out the quality of the product and well here we go.

My Opinion
This eyeshadows are amazing.
the pigmentation is just perfect.
I have so much shimmery and metallic es that I want to add
to my collection more matte and satin finishes.

The colors I chose were as follows:

463 DS- a beige color with gold flecks
366 MATTE-coral/orange
379 MATTE-medium true purple
388 MATTE-blue/violet
480 DS-medium blue with silver flecks

These es reminded me a lot of my Mark I pick ES the matte finish they are very similar in texture and pigmentation(again only the matte finishes)

What beats Mark though is that color variety.
there are so many colors to choose from.

If any of you have purchased other Inglot Colors other than these please help me out by telling me which is their best finish,  I know they have;

Pearl-Can it be like Frost??

Shine- Im thinking Metallic ??

e.l.f. BEAUTY BOOK Smokey Eye Edition

I found 4 different e.l.f. palettes on Clearance for $3.48 at my local Target.

 I stocked up, got a few for my nieces and for myself.

I will be reviewing each one this week.

So on to the first review
 

BEAUTY BOOK

SMOKEY EYES

Packaging-The packaging reminds of Too Faced and Urban Decay's a bit bulky,

but it's no big deal. It looks like a book. it also comes with a small black eyeliner and a sponge applicator.
It also gives you tips on how to create Smokey-Dramatic Looks.
The product is fragile so if not taken care of they can brake easily.
 I really liked this palette though.
Color and Pigmentation-Every color on this palette has great pigmentation.
There are shimmery,shine and matte es. I love every single color on this one.
Texture-Very soft and silky and easy to work with.
Lasting Power-I used the blue's today with a base and they lasted all day.
Price-For $3.48 that I got these for what else can I ask for.
You get 12 eyeshadows in great shades.
Blues, Plums and Silvers


My Opinion
I think this is a great deal for 12 good sized es in great shades.
These are great as gifts.
I will definetly go back and get more since I do think it is a good product and
why not share it with all my girls.
I really recommend this to you guys.

At Home Pedicure by Laura

Doing this has really helped me in Saving some cash.

Everytime I went to have a pedicure done I spent at least $40 no less

every 2 weeks. So for me this is money I can use on something else.

So I hope this is helpful to you guys.

ENJOY!

SHAPE & SMOOTH

First I start by cutting and filing my toe nails.

Cut and file in oval motion towards the corners slightly.

Overdoing it can cause ingrown nails and that can be very painful.

Noticeable ridges or bumps require some buffing.

Buff no more than 5 times as you can damage or thin out your nail.

SOAK

I have a pedicure tub at home, mine gives a massage while soaking so this is cool.

After you've soaked for some minutes

CUTICLES

Apply cuticle softener or I use Avon's Instant Cuticle remover.

Remove your cuticles with the right tools and in a safely matter.

Cutting too much or too far can cause for you to hurt yourself.

SCRUB

Apply your scrub on foot scrubber and scrub concentrating on the rought dry spots.

Now Rinse

MASK

I apply this Paraffin Moisture Teatment Mask on my feet and wrap with a warm towel.

I leave the warm towels on for a few minutes then rinse with warm water.

Dry your Feet.

MOISTOURIZE

I usually do this in the evening when its almost time to go to sleep.

So this lotion is great to leave on over night and wake up to soft feet.

MOISTOURIZE HEELS

I also use this Therapeutinc Craked heel Relief Cream when my heels are very dry.

This cream is so great it helps heal fast.

Once you are done with the Home Pedicure let's use some color

Again I use Avon Products

BASE

I apply this Nail Experts Smooth Beginnings Base

let it dry and follow with,

COLOR

This Nailwear Pro Nail Enamel is really good.

It lasts the 2 weeks I need to redo my pedicure.

It doesn't loose its shine or chip, wich is a plus for me.

TOP COAT

I end my color process by Top Coating it with UV Gloss Guard

This helps the colors stay and keeps it glossy.

So this is it for the color.

At this point I'm finished but I always add some Corn &Callus Softening Balm before I go to bed.

This stuff is just great.

Definetly keep one of these on your foot care kit.

I will make a post on this.

I know it may seem like quite a process, but in my case,
 I really enjoy doing anything that has to do with color and beauty.
So I don't mind it.

Requested Hair Post

Hello Lovelies!

I was requested to make a Hair Post and although I don't do much with my hair I will

describe what I do on a daily basis.

I don't use expensive items on my hair.
I have spend money on expensive shampoos and styling products and always go back
to my inexpensive ones.

WASHING MY HAIR

I recently started washing my hair with the new Pantene Line Beautiful Lengths.

As Shampoo I use the

Frizz Control Shampoo.

For those of us that have naturally curly hair, we suffer from Frizz and Pufiness.

At least I do.

Although curly hair may not be damaged it can look like it is with the Frizz you get.

This Shampoo says that it helps protect from damage & breakage, so you can grow your hair longer.

It also says that it protects your hair against Frizz & Humidity. 

It has a silicone formula that helps reduce friction from styling, resulting in smooth hair with less breakage. 

Another reason why this Shampoo caught my attention was because it is hard to show the actual lenght of my hair, since it's curly when styled my hair shrinks.

So the longer my hair can be the better.

It is also recommended not to wash curly hair daily.

My Hair Stylist has recommended me to wash 2 to 3 times a week.

There is just no way I can do this.

Specially since I go to the gym 3 times a week.

What I do is I alternate daily.

 One day I shampoo the other I just condition.

CONDITIONING MY HAIR

For Conditioner I use

Shine Enhance.

With the pro-vitamins it has, it

moistourizes hair and helps each strand to look mirror healthy.

The Shine Enhance system helps restore up to 2 years of damage in one month by repairing hair's sheen and silky feel and helps prevent breakage so you can grow hair longer.

This conditioner is rich, thick in texture

with effective conditioning agents. Silicone is deposited onto the hair to smooth cuticles and target weak areas, resulting in hair that resists breakage and is infused with beautiful shine.

With this description I just had to buy this, and I have to say I am very happy with the results.

I do condition everyday.

STYLING MY HAIR

To style I use

Suave Max Hold Volumizing Mousse.

This is my HG Mousse and I wouldn't change it for anything else.

Provides ultra control and hold without weighing your hair down.

I relly LOOVE this mousse I've tried many brands expensive and cheap and this mousse is the

cheapest and the best I've ever tried.

I wouldn't change it for anything.

The way I style

 After I get out of the shower and my hair is still wet,

 I just run my hair thru with my fingers. I never comb my hair as it can cause frizz and puffiness.

 I don't blow dry it either.

I apply the mousse on my hair and scrunge it and let it air dry.
This is all I do to my hair on a daily basis.
I guess the advantage of having Curly hair is that  you can style in about
5 minutes and you're ready to go.
I used to straighten my hair constantly but it would get puffy because I have alot of hair.
The Damaging was insane.
Not to mention how long it would take me to get this done.
I gave it up and started working with my curly hair.

HELPING MY HAIR

Vitamins for My hair

It's been about a year that I started taking this vitamins for my hair, skin and nails.

My Opinion

Texture-I actually like thicker texture in scubs. This one feels a little thicker and chunkier than those I've tried in the past.

Scent-I like the scent, I thought it would have too much citrus scent on it but it desn't. It is a descent not too strong scent. With a sweet taste if you get it in your mouth by mistake :)
Packaging-Its just like the picture above and it comes in a cute small, colorful organza bag.
Shipping-I ordered on 4/8/11 and received on 4/12/11

Overall-I really liked this alot.

It exfoliated nicely, left my lips very soft and smooth.

Im very happy with my purchase and I will buy again.

My First Set of Crown Brushes

 I always get my Makeup Wants after watching all the You Tube vids.

So I learned about the Crown Brushes after watching Enkore's Brush Set tutorial, which I have already ordered it and should start shipping April 7, 2011 I had to preorder before it launched. I'm thinking these may be good brushes??

On with my review.

I purchased the following brushes to check out Crown Brushes quality

BK28-Jumbo Badger Kabuki Fan $11.55
This is a large fan brush that I like to use for contouring.
Dense enough to do the job.
Shedding is minimal, but does shed.

C412-Deluxe Pointed Crease $4.95  Comparable to Mac 224 $28.00

This brush is actually very soft. Blends well.
I do not own the Mac 224 but I do own Sigma's SS224
The bristles on Sigma's SS224 are shorter.
It also does a great job.
I had no problem so far with shedding on this one.

 C411-Pointed Blender $4.85 Comparable to Mac 226 (LE)
This is also very soft and dense. Perfect to define the crease and outer V.
Again this one I do not own in Mac.
I actually didn't own anything like this brush so I am very happy with it.
No problem with shedding either.

C433-Pro Blending Fluff $4.85 Comparable to Mac 217 $22.50
Now this is one of my favorite brushes.
This brush is a little bigger than my Mac 217
a little bit wider, denser and a tad flatter.
My Mac 217 is just a little bit softer.
Still works wonderful.
No Shedding

C431-Precision Pencil $5.49 Comparable to Mac 219 $24.50
I own the Sigma SS219 and a Mac 219 from a Holiday set.
The sigma SS219 is smaller but softer I actually like the Sigma better.
This one is more dense but a bit stiff this very similar to my Mac 219 from the holiday set.
Still works well in my crease, for Outer v for for lowerlash I prefer my Sigma SS219

 

MY OPINION ON ALL BRUSHES
Overall I was very happy with my purchase.
I will buy from crown again soon.
The prices are very good.
I really hope the Enkore set is a good set too as I've already read a few bad reviews about it.
Can't wait to get mine.

My Ultimate Remedy for Extremely Dry Lips

With this weather in California lately my skin in just going crazy especially my LIPS!!

I have tried everything I can think of

Carmex

blistex

chapstick

Artistry lip conditioner

you name it I have probably tried it.

Well I went to my local CVS and the pharmacist told me to pick up Vaseline and use it before I  bed and in the morning and as necessary thru out the day.

I did and OMG it worked.

My lips have been so dried out that I had so much dead skin it just looked very bad.

Even when I used a lip scrub my lips were just super dry.

I have heard of using Vaseline before but i just never gave it a try.

Well all I can say is that it has helped me so much that for now it is a must on my daily routine.

Maybelline Super Stay Makeup 24HR Foundation

I have been using this foundation for about 2 weekS already and I have to say

I really like it for a Drugstore Foundation.

This does stay put and I actually dont need to touch up.

It does provide a good coverage, it dries quick but not where you can't work with it.

Price is no more than $10 depending where you buy it.

Packaging is the only messy part, I wished it had a pump but its no big deal.

Comparing this foundation to Revlon's Colorstay

On my opinion Colorstay is thicker and dries quicker.

Packaging is the same no pump on both making them both messy.

The formula and texture of the product also reminded me of Mac's Prolong Wear Foundation and Estee Lauder Double Wear.

The only thing that I disliked but can live with, is that is kind of hard to come off.

I have to wash my face twice in order for the product to completely come off following with my Aveeno daily scrub.

Other than that I really like this product, I will keep on buying it.

So if you haven't already tried it give it a shot.

For a drugstore foundation this one is my HG one for now.

Ruthless Cosmetics i13 15 Shade Palette

About a month ago I purchased this palette above from Ruthless Cosmetics.

Today is April 6, 2011 and haven't received it or a response to the many voice messages and e-mails sent to them. 

I really wanted this palette :( 

It's just sad that I haven't been given a response on my order. 

So I had to request for a refund on my item, again I really wanted this..

Hopefully they respond to me soon otherwise I will feel as if I got ripped off.

This is sad because they have such cool items on their website and I was really looking forward into purchasing other items from them.

After this experience I highly doubt it.

I am a fair person and would definetly understand if there is any issues goign on or anything,, but when you don't get a response in any way then that's scary.

I just needed to let this out..I really hope nobody goes thru this kind of experiences.

 It's just not cool...
