CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE TO MAC's SPF 15 CREAM FOUNDATION

MAYBELLINE DREAM SMOOTH MOUSSE FOUNDATION
I saw this foundation on the counter for new items at CVS, since they had testers I tried them and searched for my color. My color in MAC Foundation is NC37 on MAC's Studio Fix Fluid.
The color I got on Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse is 250 Pure Beige which was a bit too pink for my skintone since I have more of a yellow tone. I do use the 250 Pure Beige in the summer when I'm a little darker. I will purchase a lighter color then comment on how that worked.
It comes in a compact container with a screw on cap, a sponge on the cap but no mirror. The texture is very creamy it is easy to blend and it applies very nicely, it feels creamy when you apply it then it kind a changes the feel of like a liquid foundation during application. It is a lightweight formula and it is supposed to be good for those with dry skin to keep you hydrated but also good for all skin types.  I have been searching for something light but with some coverage since I have some light spots on my cheeks. The coverage is sheer to medium  and it doesn't feel heavy and it gives you that smooth finish. This past days it has been very hot in LA and somedays I feel like not wearing any makeup at all.  It reminded me of MAC's  SPF 15. I tried this at a MAC counter in NC35 and I liked it but it was $32.00 and I wasn't able to get it at the time. The texture on both feel almost the same and Maybelline's Smooth Mousse covers very likely as MAC's SPF 15 and it fealt the same when I was testing it.
So I purchased it, I applied it with my  foundation brush after my primer and set it with my MAC's MSF Natural in Medium Plus in the day. I went out at night so I wanted more coverage so I set it with Shisheido's Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation and it looked very nice.
So far I liked it, it lasted most of the day and at night, and what's good is that I didn't feel oily
The price for this is $9.99 but there was coupons at the counter and I got $2.00 off at CVS this was a huge difference in price to MAC's SPF 15. So if this is something you may be looking for or you really like MAC's SPF 15 but is out of your budget for now. Check out your local
CVS or maybe Rite-Aid and pick one up.

Hope this was helpful to you all..
Thanks for stopping by!

CHEAPER ALTERNATIVES AND COMPARABLE TO HIGH END FACE PRIMERS

AVON MAGIX FACE PERFECTOR
COMPARABLE TO
MAC'S PREP & PRIME SKIN BASE

Avon Magix Face Perfector is a colorless gel-powder with SPF 20 to prevent sunburn. I apply this after my moistourizer and before my foundation. This goes on silky smooth and dries to a satin powdery finish. I have combination skin and on this summer weather my skin gets oily on my T-Zone. When I apply this my make-up does last longer and I don't need to touch up so much. The price on this is $10.00 but it does go on sale for $7.99 often.
So far I like this a lot and I recommend it.
Avon Magix Face Perfector is similar to Mac's Prep & Prime Skin Base only in the texture of gel-powder feel. I actually like Avon's Magix better since I feel that it lasts longer and keeps me free of shine longer as well. I didn't feel that Mac's Prep & Prime did this for me as I fealt more oily than usual with it.

The price
Avon Magix Face Perfector $10.00
MAC's Prep Prime Skin Base $25.00

MONISTAT CHAFING GEL
SMASHBOX PHOTO FINISH

I heard about using Monistat Chafing Gel as a face primer on a You Tube Video and I just had to try this. I know the name does sound scary there for a bit, and who would think that you would use this product on your face right? This stuff does work and I recommend it to those that may be on a budget.
The texture of Monistat Chafing Gel is the same as Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. It's a soft silky gel like product, it goes on very smooth, makes your foundation last longer and it gives you that flawless look we love. Just as good as Smashbox Photo Finish. I love Smashbox's Photo Finish but when I can afford it I go to Monistat now. They work the same and so far I haven't experienced any brakeouts on my skin or that oily look I hate.

The prices
Monistat Chafing Gel $7.00
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer $36.00

This reviews are based on my personal opinion after actually using the products.
I hope that this information can be useful to you all.

MAC MINERALIZE EYESHADOW AND BLUSH FROM PREVIOUS COLLECTIONS.

After all the hype on the new Mac collection "In the Groove" I pulled out my other mineralized products I own from previous collections and wondered why I don't use these items at all.
ELECTROFLASH 2009
LOVE CONNECTION
This eyeshadow has just way too much glitter and the fall out is crazy. I really like the lighter shade on this one though. I tried using it today and I wasn't happy with the results.

GRAND DUO MINERALIZE BLUSH 2009
INTENSO
This blush seems to be too red for me and it's also put away in my drawer.

FLASHTRONIC 2007
ETHER
This Eyeshadow I just dont use it, to me it has no color payoff and its hard to work with.

So I ask all of you Lovely Gals to help me out with some tips on how I can use these items. What colors or other items I can use to cordinate them with  so they don't just sit there put away in a drawer.
I really want to be able to use these.

Many Thanks!!

REVLON SUPER LUSTROUS LIPGLOSS

CORAL REEF, PINK WHISPER & LILAC PASTELLE

CORAL REEF, PINK WHISPER & LILAC PASTELLE

Coral Reef & Lilac Pastelle were the only ones from the summer collection that I was able to find at my local CVS store. I will keep searching for the rest :)  Pink Whisper is a color from the regular collection that I really liked, so I picked it up.
The texture is much like Mac's Cremesheen I like that they are not sticky, the color pigmentation is very nice and they last quite a while. These are actually my 1st. purchase on Revlon's lipglosses and I must say I am very pleased with the results.
